The Titan Story

Oasis Technology invented Titan to solve a persistent issue affecting its own network.

In mid-2012, we believe that Oasis Technology, Inc., was misidentified by international hackers as Oasis Technology, Ltd., an International company that processed financial transactions. The company called Oasis Technology, Ltd., had actually gone out of business or had been bought out. Apparently the hackers were not aware of this, and in an attempt to obtain credit card information, they attacked our company, California-based Oasis Technology, Inc.  The attacks were substantial – up to one million per day.

To stop the hacking, we purchased and tried several commercial solutions, but none were completely successful.  We then developed our own system, called Titan, to protect our network.

Today, Titan is an  intelligent, commercially-available device that analyzes traffic before it comes into a network, learns from it, and even requests that hackers resend their messages, slowing down the hackers’ systems. Titan is available to companies on a monthly lease basis. It is a simple-to-install device to which a technical person can add their own white list to ensure that approved traffic gets through. Titan provides analysis reports so that businesses can monitor hack attacks and rest assured they are diverted before they get through their firewall and into their network.
